Dr. Scott A. Brenman is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his M.D. degree with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.

After completing medical school, Dr. Brenman continued his surgical training at Pennsylvania Hospital with a five-year residency in General Surgery. Dr. Brenman completed his Residency in Plastic Surgery with two and a half years at Duke University Medical Center. A Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of Louisville followed the residency.

Dr. Brenman has authored many original articles and book chapters in major plastic surgery textbooks. He continues to write and lectures extensively on many topics in plastic surgery. He is a clinical instructor in plastic surgery and is actively involved with the teaching of residents and medical students from the University of Pennsylvania.

In order to better serve his patients, Dr. Brenman keeps up to date with the latest advances in plastic surgery through a continued commitment to his education by attending frequent national meetings. In addition, Dr. Brenman has received the distinction for being listed as one of the "Top Surgeons" in the Consumer's Research Council of America listing. Dr. Brenman has also been honored as a Top Doc by the Philadelphia Magazine.

• Dear Dr. Brenman,
I just wanted to say thank you. I know I must seem a bit over zealous about having the surgery, but you have no idea how happy I am about it. When I was 260 lb. I was completely happy with my body and my self-image. I then ended up in a 2-year relationship that was very emotionally abusive regarding my body. It is very hard for me to face that I ended up in that situation. The verbal abuse began slowly and completely wore my self-confidence down. It effected far more than just my physical self-image. I do not believe that I have to be stick thin or even thin, but we all need to be satisfied and happy with ourselves. This is the first time I have been able to recognize the fact that it is a great life accomplishment that I lost the weight and have held it off for a year. Thanks for getting right back to me. You are the BEST! I'm feeling very good!!! I'm eating good, sleeping good and no pain. I do at times feel a little sore but I guess thats expected... My breasts are a little hard (I wish they would soften up) but I can deal with it. I can't believe how well I'm doing and how little the pain was. Mind over Matter! All of the bruising is almost gone and there is not much swelling left. I think, in fact I know, I am recovering so well because I have a Great Plastic Surgeon who took the time and cared about me!!!
